Guitarist/composer Shane Theriot (pronounced
Terry-o) grew up in New Orleans, LA. Absorbing the music
from this area has played a great part in shaping his
unique style. Theriot's versatility in both the studio
and stage have led to work with many artists in virtually
all styles of music.
Some of the many artists that Shane has
recorded and/or performed with include The Neville Brothers,
LeAnn Rimes, Willie Nelson, Jewel, Idris Mohammed, Leni
Stern, Sam Moore, Shannon McNally, Aaron Neville, The
SYN (with Chris Squire and Alan White from YES), Little
Feat, Jo-El Sonnier and Boz Scaggs. He also leads his
own band called The Grease Factor. Shane is also collaborating
with longtime Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward on an
original project.
Both of his acclaimed solo records (Hwy
90 and The Grease Factor) feature burning guitar lines
behind the hottest rhythm sections and showcase his great
compositional abilities.
