Bruce Conte, Guitarist
Bruce Conte is a highly skilled guitarist
who's been a vital part of the music industry since his
work with The Tower of Power through the 1970s.
In 1970 Bruce moved to the San Francisco
Bay Area to join a local band called "Loading Zone"
along with Tom Coster (from Santana). They opened up for
Tower of Power frequently at The Fillmore and a bond began
to form and Bruce started to co-write songs with Emilio
Castillo and Doc Kupka of Tower of Power. In September
of 1972, they hired Lenny Pickett and Bruce from the Loading
Zone to join the band.
Through the 80s Bruce was a fixture in
the San Francisco club scene before moving to Nevada to
play with Detroit based singer Tommy Bell and with a group
called "Sante Fe" with band leader Jerry Lopez.
Bruce currently lives and continues to
record and perform in Los Angeles.
